I started Sunday after reading the article. I had a 6 lb weight loss this Wednesday. Could’ve been more; but I got weighed in after lunch. I only followed the three diet meal portions she gave in the magazine article and the rest add my own. I eat no fruit and no white stuff! It really works!!!! You have to be very disciplined!
There is no nutritional value in white foods (except cauliflower and tofu
so I get that part, but NO FRUIT??? Really? The brain needs broken down sugars to function. I was just curious how long does one stay on this diet ?
Angela~ 6lbs. is awesome……..great job.
Jenn~ I plan on staying on it till I lose all my weight or until August. Whichever comes first. Now about fruit…..I really don’t believe that one. I didn’t start eating fruit till my late 20’s and that was now and then. Now in my late 30’s I eat fruit often. (not while on kimkins) But not eating fruit at all while growing up and in my early adult years has not affected my brain or health. I just now started eating it more cause I like to eat a healthy snack. When I’m done with Kimkins I will eat fruit again….cause I do love bananas, apples, & nectarines.lol
But all in moderation.
This kimkins thing is pretty much what I eat (when I’m being a good girl). It does the trick, sure, as long as you don’t get a horribly craving for starchy things and go off plan. Thanks, Tasha, good info on food is always welcome!
And keep working at it, go on, girl!!!
Lidecka~ Yep it’s pretty much what I did a while back….but I like her menus and such. And you’re right….it works as long as you stick with it.
Thanks hun……and the same to you.
The brain does need sugar to fucntion and these sugars are broken down from a variety of foods. Not just fruit of course.
20 grams of carbohydrates is not a lot. I am curious and will do some research. I wish you much success with your weightloss journey.
Jenn~ Gotcha
…..I thought you were saying “fruits” were needed to make the brain function. You’re right 20 grams is low……that’s why I said I’m doing it till August…goal reached or not. If I reach my goal sooner….even better. I eat more veges than meat……Almost a vege. diet. I wish you the same success on your journey.
We’re all on the same journey……but everyone is taking a different path. Much success to everyone.
Indeed ! Well said.
